About

A writer, artist and lover of the literary and performing arts, Katherine Stauble is a consummate explorer, hungry for new experiences and prone to following new paths.

Katherine was born in Montreal, grew up in Toronto and studied French Literature before becoming a teacher and textbook editor. After moving to the south of France and then Ottawa (sort of like the Mediterranean, she likes to think, for its seductive shorelines), Katherine worked for over a decade at the National Gallery of Canada. As a curatorial assistant, researcher and writer, she drew on her lifelong love of art and art history, and deepened her knowledge.

Today, Katherine is an independent writer specializing in art publications, and an artist with a focus on printmaking.
